NZCM Update.

For those of you that have been following the progress of the NZ Classic Motorcycle collection we have news.
The collection has been sold to a NZ buyer but unfortunately not in Nelson.

The entire collection is to be re located to its new home in Invercargill. While this is not an ideal solution for Nelson it is preferable to it leaving our shores.

Same owners, but different location - sounds like downtown Invercargill http://www.odt.co.nz/your-town/invercargill/383449/motorcycles-added-transport-attractions

richardson group just bought up a few empty or soon to be empty buildings, my guess is that one or two of those may be used for the new museum.
reminds me, must go have a look at the new truck museum, went to the old one when bill was still kickin and that was awesome

The Bill Richardson Museum is amazing. It'll be even more amazing with the bike collection.

Just spent 3-4 hours there a couple of weeks back while touring around the South Island.
It is now officially 'My favorite Place":niceone:

The bikes tucked in Invercargill sheds alone is amazing in itself, with a few dragged out for an annual run to Bluff or the Burt Munro exhibit. With a decent museum some of these could be well dusted off and added ( loaned or otherwise) as well the E Hayes collection. This is really good news for Southland :niceone:

Be more amazing if it wasn't in Invers.

What do they say?

Bluff is the arsehole of NZ and Invercargill is 30 kms up it.

But that's just bollocks. Invercargill is now a humming student city - it's no Dunedin but still buzzing.

Plus if your sister is hot and over 16 you can snuggle up to her in the long cold winters.

Good to see the collection remaining in NZ.

Fucked off I missed it in Nelson.

They?...:nya: If ya can get past Gore, the gems of the South are abundant, but we hid them all, so feel free to join the tag game, and many are revealed in that (along with some awesome riding).
