Hey chaps.
Any of you guru's able to tell me if there is a way to tell what year a TF125 was manufactured?
Picked one up cheap off farcebook last night as a non runner. Gunna fix her up and take it to a paddock to teach my Mrs how to ride a bike with gears. After that will hopefully flick it off for a wee bit more than I paid, but would be useful to know the age so I can price it accordingly.
Cheers in advance.

theyre such a basic machine they hardly changed at all.
You would have to have got it reallllllly fucking cheap to make a profit on it, theyre worth roughly two fifths of fuck-all in the first place.
Good luck though! if you got it cheap as, it might be worth checking the motor is OK, and listing on trademe as a Bucket racer parts donor - theve been popular engines for those folk since theyre so cheap, basic and plentiful

I bought a TF125 off Farcebook last year, an old fucked yellow one from I suspect the early 80's. Great bike, just keeps on going no matter what. I too intended for her indoors to learn to ride on it but this has been curtailed somewhat by the apparent discomfort she's noticed in the vaginal region caused by the combination of seat design and 2T goodness.
HTH.

they have all been technically 2004 models for the since then, before then they were 1998 models,
they have been the same mechanically since the early 80's, if not the late 70's

Yeah got it rather cheap, I think I will keep it as is because the bike is complete and the engine seems good. My "Non runner" started 3rd kick when I gave it a crack yesterday afternoon :clap::headbang:

Found a tag on her from the dealer and she's a 2013. That would fit what I see on the trademe of bikes of a similar year.

Haha, yeah not a bad buy.
Few small things to sort on it, clutch doesn't release very well, brake level is broken and seat is torn. Easy fixes though for the 2nd two n hopefully the clutch wont be too drastic.
