Well its time for the 50 to find a new home and do what it was made to do. Win races.
I'm not going to be riding it anytime soon and I want the money for some suspension parts.

RS125 chassis
Derbi GPR50 engine (that's the road model but maybe the GPR boys should buy it just for the name).
14.6hp on Dynojet, so add a few extra for some other dynos. There's def more left to come.
Ignitech programmable ignition
PWK carb

$2000 buys it which is pretty fair as it will beat all the 150s in wgtn B grade, heck typically getting 4ths in A grade with some fat old git riding it.

Race pedigree; well racebikes are an evolution, but with a few riders has won about seven national grand Prix's inc the open 50. Has come second another 1/2 doz times including 2016. Top 50 in BoB a few times.
And a multitude of club races. Well you get the idea.

I'd prefer it to go to someone who will actually ride it as its meant to be ridden. It is reliable, feed it av gas and motul and a new ring every year.
Its no show pony, its function before form and could do with a real good clean and repaint that I never got around to, but do have some clean bright yellow spray enamel if that floats your boat.

$200 more buys the wheels with barely used wets

And sorry I won't sell the wets separately for anywhere near that price, or thrown in for the 50 price, I'll keep them for the 100, but that's not on sale, it has maybe something else left to achieve on the dyno.

That had to happen.
Good on you Chris.:msn-wink:

Dave, sad day buddy.
Long and interesting life. Been intriguing following this from a RG50, to a RS housed RG50 to the RS Derbi in resent times. Lovely bike to ride.

Um that's less that 5 mins while I was editing the post! Can I put the price up?:msn-wink:

Nah actually I'd be very happy to sell it to a rapid light chap as yourself.

Hahaha I was actually going to buy a dirt bike but holy shit I've wanted a 50 for ages! Can't say no. Rick and I can have some great battles in F5 up here.

Be a shame for it to leave wgtn where i could watch it race, but maybe Auckland with its 50 class is a better place for it

$2000 is a steal for a well sorted race bike.
Does it come with a warranty?

Dave, sad to here. But I suppose it was made to be raced and not gathering dust. As you say would of been nice if somebody picked it up down this way (hope you offered it to sketchy) as there is also a wee bit of a revival down here. Good move Chris! Dose this now mean f5 Dave is dead? Maybe dirt bike Dave?

I'd have thought Katie would have snapped that up.

Good price for it.

Was offered to those two first and they both wanted it but wrong time for funding it. I decided just to keep the price reasonable and see it go to a decent home rather than put it on tardme and have it go to some whallah.

Yeah did consider the name, but press F5 key and it screen refreshes. I'm refreshing my motorcycling to some extent. In the last week I've sold my racebike, my roadbike and bought another roadbike.

F5 Dave

Yes. I was just thinking about that. Have to ask Darrin what he is up to first.

If you've got two I'd be interested in buying them to power a bucket sidecar.

I appreciate the hell out of that Dave. You can be assured that it'll be in good hands and raced hard and often. It'll probably take me 4 years to develop the pace and consistency to compete with Nathanael but with a good bike under me I'm at least pointed in the right direction to one day take a good crack!

She maybe small and uncomfortable, but I love her. If I want a divorce one day I'll let you know.

Congratulation Chris
That is a great buy, you will be bloody fast on that bike, looking forward to trying to keep up with ya !
Dave this is a sad day but I'm sure you thought long and hard about this, enjoy the new road bike .

Thanks man, yeah it took a long time to decide but there's a few factors and now with a need for some cash pushed it over. Would have like to have sketchy on some new tyres have another try at the gp but can't have everything so its time to pass the batton again.

Just got picked up for its trip norf 20min ago.

With Chris moving to Chch it was fun to see the 50 out at Ruapuna again. First time I think I've seen it finish a meeting here in one piece... :dodge:

The 50 is probably the most reliable bucket in bucketdom.

My 100 did have issues, but new ignition and crankpin design sorted those.

Think you have confused the two.
