It's just a standard female tactic reversed. To get what you want, threaten to get something twice as expensive ;)

She knows that boats are holes in the water that you pour money into.

Yup, Lou's right - and on a nice day how long does it take you to hook the boat up, drag it to the water, launch it, check it's all set to go? - and then reverse the cycle on the return trip?
Versus zipping on a jacket, popping on gloves and strapping on a helmet.

Of course you don't catch too many snapper from a motorbike.....

(you do still have snapper in existence up that way.....?)

And boats are nasty horrible vectors for spreading unwanted pests and diseases from waterway to waterway. Which motorcycles are not.

Indeed. Bikes are blameless on this score.

<<

Solid and reliable and compared to an XS650 quite a performer.
Compared to anything else - just another old japper.
Nice lines and a classic jap look. Otherwise unremarkable. Nice bike.

You tested that T100 yet?

Boats suck worse than cars!

Not worth the effort Dave,I couldn't afford it an I'd just go home all frustrated because I know I'd love it.

The Zephyr was a Des Townsen design,my uncle made some, they were beautiful boats,he would do the decks with mahogany and pine,or some other white wood, outstanding stuff. He would store the hulls under our house, but I thought the Red Hunter he kept there much more interesting.Des had an old Triumph 2000 that we used to keep going for him,and he always used horrible Ford 10s in his boats, there were a couple under my bench ready for him to use.

How's that for a tangent?
