Found this Link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4298344.stm) about an 'intelligent' beermat.

I wonder how it deals with shorts, rather than beers...and what about beer mat flipping games? I don't think this model tells the barkeep what you want...but would anybody want one?

Perhaps they could modify it and put it under a bike fuel tank and it could tell you when you need to fill up, and provide a tilt switch.

That beer mug is only half full of beer, and half full of head. Bloody barman (barlady) wouldn't get a job out here!!!

Don't think that will catch on.
Reminds me that I used to collect beer mats (coasters) once, when still living in N.Z. I had heaps of them from all over the world. My ex made me get rid of them before coming to Oz.
