We are having another spring breakfast for motorcyclists in Christchurch, as we have done for some years now.

This year we are calling it the Kickstart Breakfast, it's at the A&P Showgrounds on October 2.

Retailers and various clubs will be there. This year it's better catered, so anyone who stood in the queues last year need not worry.

We'll be doing practical demonstrations again, there'll be lots of give-aways, free bike checks, plenty for anyone interested in motorcycles.

Let your mates know, and stick it in your diary.

P.S. I'm MC this year. God help you all.

One bit of feedback from last years event. PA system during the demo's wasn't loud enough/insufficient speakers so sections of the audience couldn't hear the commentary. There was attentive crowd so a bit of a missed opportunity.

We have engaged a different sound crowd this year after last year's issues.

I'm the MC this year. I'm already prepping my one liners.

Oh good I see it is on a Sunday Rastus. I may have to come along and harass the MC while he is wearing his mankini

In the interests of public mental health I formally withdraw my offer to don my mankinI.

This year's event is ginger to be far better than last year's. It better be, the planning team has worked bloody hard to make improvements.

Prizes are to be had. Unless you're busy it's well worth popping along.

I'm still considering what to wear though.

...do you want me, dangerous and Triplenut to come along and show you the folly of it being 'ginger'...

My outfit for the event is sorted.

You'll have to attend to see it.

Enter at your own risk.

You will have to wear those BMW jeans that fell of the back of My bike, A mankini would scare any one away.

Those jeans are now my firm favourite riding pants. Just not warm enough for winter.
