Custom chopper imports and decoding the VIN?

Ok so iv bought a custom chopper off trade me , the title is in the persons name i bought it off and its not stolen :calm: however it needs the vin to be decoded for a new NZ vin label, the bike was built by a company named( American steel v-twin ) since the manufacture date of production the company has closed. the bike was built in 2000. it was later purchased off a company called evil twin custom cycles who are still alive and well. can anyone let me know how to decode the vin? iv searched online for hours with different levels of success all of which wernt very good lol. most of the sites i tried came back with a charge (fee) and from what iv read most of them are scams for credit card details ! this is the bike ;) 322783 any helps hugely appreciated thanx!

na sorry Moi dosnt help at all lol =) its got a vin sticker but i need to have it properly decoded and every state in the usa has a different way of coding their vin stickers. nzta probably will eventually give up trying to decode it and more than likely replace the whole vin tag. iv spent all day online and still havnt been able to find anywhere that can do it properly although i know it can be done as iv spoken to people who have done it, just need more info and abit more know how. but cheers anyway for trying mate =)

Talk to your local VTNZ people - that is where most of the inspectors are based - they can tell you what you need to do and can do the inspections for you.
