Who is interested in BOB this year, there are 2 dates that we could probably be able to use September 24 Levels
October 16 Ruapuna, Ruapuna would be full track , Levels would be too but its a much more buckety track.
If we could have an indication of numbers we can start talking with CAMs who have hosted the BOB for the last few years.
Things change B track is gone , lets make the new format work !
MCI are running King of Levels the next day funnily enough on the same track, we could make a weekend of this !!!!!!!!!!!

Who is interested in BOB this year, Ruapuna would be full track.
A big track where the mighty Team ESE 32 hp 120mph Beast can stretch its legs in a multy way front straight tussle with the Team GPR rocket and Kels Green Meany Kawasaki, Farmakens 110 water cooler, hopefully a few NI bikes will make it down.

Sept 24 CAMS Levels
Sept 25 MCI KOL4?? Ruapuna??? Think that's supposed to be KOR1 at Ruapuna??
Still a great weekends racing for locals and Norfies
Oct 16 CAMS Ruapuna
Oct 23 Greymouth Street Races
Great opportunity for the Norfies to do BOB and then Greymouth the next weekend. Leave your bikes here for us to pilfer all your secrets while you fly home on your $29 cheapie tickets and back the next weekend? The GPR guys did that a couple of years ago. Seemed to work out ok.
I don't mind Ruapuna at all. Yeah the straight is a bit boring if you're on your own but good fun if you're slipstreaming somebody or demon out braking the prick who just slipstream by you at the end of it. If the straight is an issue we could probably introduce a tyre chicane to break it up? Cheers.

We will bring a few spares so we can go on to Greymouth afterwards ....

If it's levels and you want another variation, there's nothing stopping you using the short version which cuts out some straight and the fast lefts...
If you do use long track 'Puna, road cone chicanes...back to the roots of the BoB where a track would be laid out on the tarmac at Wigram using cones.

If you like B track you will like Levels , its great for buckets , 250's and lightweight proddy 1.20 ish laps mixture of really fast T4 down to 40 kph Hairpin, make sure your bikes are not noisy as they always have independent noise meter there ,
Because we run with Cams club you can bring a second and third bike at no additional cost there is a lass for almost everything (sorry no sidecars) any old shitters or classices are welcome , P63, 72 , 82 moderns, ninjas and other lightweights Buckets
Cams have a right propper classic met in December over 3 days , come and check out the track you will want to come back

You cant run a RG or KR in the Bob , but can in the development class where Buckets Rg's and 250 ninjas run, dont worry , they sell petrol at Timaru just because they have a well organised inbreeding program , didnt mean they missed out on motor vehicles
Does Steamroller ride the aircooled 125 GPR bike? It will need twice as much fuel as the Bucket GP

It's all a myth, it's suzukis flagship engine after all. The real secret is what oil you use, we find well used fish and chip oil is best, preferably if it has been used mostly for sea food based cooking. Just use some of the Missis tights to strain it to get most of the cunck bits out. Liquid gold.

Have a look at South Canterbury Car Club site - I'm assuming that if Mike was going to run in his new motor it could be an open hire day.

Well thats the BOB 2016 done and dusted, This is the first year I have watched from the sideline, plenty of great spectating. The grid was around 30 bikes with a strong Manawatu presence. A great start with a hoard of angry buckets headed into turn one in slipery conditions and cold tyres saw polesitter Dray on his arse in turn 2 as Maddog ard Damian Perriton pulled an impressive gap on the field for the first 10 or so laps, P3,4 and 5 where hard fought for the entire race with no more than a few meters between them Regan Griffiths , Oliver Rumsey and Jack Cotton were swapping places for the full hour, vintage Buckateer and legendary GN125 rider Warwick Demmocks from Rangoon led the vintage class to a podium all on his own great work Wazza. With very little additional drama the riders knuckled down for the grueling 55 minutes . Damian Perriton was slipping back into the reach of the group of 3 as his tyres were struggling in the condition falling back to 5th before making a late recovery in the race, people said he was just slowing to roll a smoke but who really knows.
The Manawatu guys wre struggling with engine problems after an eventfull practice day that claimed 2 engines so the B engine was fitted to scotts bike for the Big race with Regan on board, ending the race in 2nd spot was a fantastic effort, Maddog too line honours withat least 1/2 a lap lead over the next group
