Found two photos over the weekend and would be interested to know at least what the meeting may have been? Or if any bike/rider is recognised? It's Puke 1986.
The photos my belong to my wife but she cannot really say for certain what the meeting was. She has been around the motorcycle scene longer than I have.

If that's Freeth in the red leathers on the #2 McIntosh, it must have been one of his last ever bike meetings.
Obviously GSXR750's had arrived in bulk and the writing was on the wall.

Are you sure it's 86? , Guessing late 85 (possibly) and that it was a 2 hour endurance race run on an open format. As a spotty faced git I pit crewed for Billy Cooney (white bike # 7) who tried to do it solo. I think a 14/15 year old Chris Halane also crewed for him! Billy slipped off in the second hour.
Give aways to me is that it's a bit of everything on the grid from F1 to production bikes to TZ350's / F2 bikes. Looks like Larry Spicer on the GSXR #6, Dave Ogden on the yellow TZ, #19 was probably Rod Price (just see the seat). Rodger is on the monoshock McIntosh. Note all the GSXR's are 750s.

1986 is on the back of the photo (shop print) but that's not ruling out that the photos were late 85' but printed in 1986 when the film was full, as you did back in the day.

Push starting the production gsxr, go figure? We used to take the alternator drive dog off them & put the alternator back on because they went faster that way & didnt shit the alternator bearing & spray oil on the back tyre.
They could just do two hours on a fully charged battery if you didn't use the starter.
I did the '88 two hour on a gsxr1100 (chassis number 000003) ex Robbie Dean, he was a fantastic coach.
