View Full Version : The Great KB Get a Grip auction!

Big Dave
3rd October 2005, 13:08
Thanks to Neils, the Coromandel based, SV Riding, Inventor and maufacturer of Grip Lock
www.grip-lock.com
we have one to auction and raise some funds towards Spankme's KB running costs.

These are great additions to any motorcycle security system and well worth owning. I have one and highly recommend - Protector insurance even offer a rebate if you use one.

RRP is around $100

There is no reserve price - and all proceeds to Spankme.
Highest offer standing on Friday 5pm gets it.

I'll drop it off at AMPS for collection if an AKL bid is highest or will post it if out of town - after SM confirms payment.

RRP $100!!!
I'll open at $20.

lets hear youse!!!

Nice Job Stevo - With a little over an hour to go it's down to you.

Was just thinking that the Grip Lock would look great with a KB sticker on it's reverse. look good clamped to your bike with the KB prominent.

1hr 5 to go.

Congrats Stevo.
You've bought a Grip Lock (well worth doing IMO) and made a kind donation to the site we all enjoy.
Well Done!

Work out with Spankme how you are paying and PM me your details and we'll get it sorted.

Much good on you.

good to see guys! we need to do more of these fundraising auctions me thinks. Imagine the horror if spankme couldnt afford to keep this massive club/site of ours going!

Big Dave
29th October 2005, 20:34
Ok - i still haven't heard that spankme has received payment.
Would it be fair to say stevo has till the end of the month to commit the money.

Then what? re-auction it?

Stevo - sort it by the end of the month.

I think it would have been more polite to PM me first perhaps. I sent the cheque to SpankMe about two weeks ago nearly and he is trying to find it. It was sent to an address he gave me, and I have been awaiting a reply from him.
Unfortunately I don't have internet or phone banking for this particular bank account, but until I hear back from Spankme, I am not sure whether he has actually received it or not.

Your apology is accepted

Thank you.

To rattle the sabre you should have done it with a PM first.... to find out what was going on.... not in full public... IMHO (No one likes being made a fool of.. especially if that someone else doesn't know the full details... i.e. cheque already sent!)

Glad its all sorted now... and a Great thing ya did Big Dave holding the auction... =)

Thanx DemonWolf. Though I can appreciate how it may have looked to Big Dave.
End of the day it was prob my mistake. I don't think I (even tho I meant to) put a note with the cheque saying what it was for or anything.
Bygones.

Thanx to Big Dave and SpankMe
