Sad to be thinking about selling my longtime friend.... But ‘needs’ means I'm looking at my options.

Up for sale is my rare Factory Full power, Electric start , Ram air, Dry clutch, RGV250v two stroke.
One of only 360* Factory Full power VJ23’s made Worldwide. (*best internet info available)

This bike has had a Full engine rebuild (including new crankshaft) at 40 000kms by Dannevirke Suzuki (receipts)
The only change made was to use two ring pistons for longer life instead of the single ring pistons.
I have new rings that I was thinking about fitting at 60 000kms, but compression was so good when I checked it recently I’m not sure that it needs them yet.

I have owned the bike for 8 years, and have good service history.
I have re-jetted this bike for perfect running for road and race track.
Front and re shocks have been flushed/serviced by KSS (Robert Taylor) and setup with ohlins oil
Bike comes with added Race fairing kit, and Race stands.
Good tyres. Will sell with new WoF. Reg on Hold.
Bike currently in Hawera - Taranaki.

Considering offers $8000 and over.
May Auction it to find what it's value is.
Alex.

Hey mate, made an account specifically to get in contact about the vj23, but too new to send a private message. Could you possibly flick me a text on 0211370590 so I can give you a call? Cheers

Same colour scheme as a mates. Great to ride and made a solid 60hp on conservative dyno.

...for those that gawp at 4-5 $figure 250 two strokes...

the cost find (Japan) and land a full power VJ23 is greater than $8500 (two years ago @ 86¥/$ = 10,200 in todays money)
there none other for sale in NZ,
around 2-3 year wait for a restricted one to come up (NZ) << he sold the last one !

to find one (FP) NOW in Japan (prices gone up) and import, probably $13000+
the FullPower clocks alone are worth $500-$1000
the FP CDI $1000

some of the new parts (left available) are pretty reasonable - mirrors $45ea, bellypan $75, instrument fascia $60... (cylinders $1000, crankshaft $1350)
