Heyo, I'm crap with electrickery so looking for some guidance.
I want to run a NX4 RS125 rev counter on the 50 and the new 125 bucket. Like so:

I'm not 100% sure on what I need to get it to work with the simple charging circuit of the bucket.

Thanks
Chris

No idea.... but there is RS125 manuals and parts books on the web.

Or seeing the 50 likely has an ignitech try them?

Note this assumes ignitech model DC-CDI-P2 RACE.

It will hook straight up to the ignitech, wiring would be as follows
rev counter Green = igni blue
rev counter Black = igni red
rev counter Blue = igni green/yellow

Plug and play, easy as!

Thanks Husa. The shift light helps but it's not as useful as a rev counter for assessing gearing and improving my starts.

Thanks Kel. I believe it's the SPARKER DC-CDI- P2 RACE so will have a squizz at the wiring loom on the 50.

I'm not running an ignitech on the F4 GP125/RS125 bike, just the KX80 iginition. I assume I'm going to need some kind of driving module for the RS gauge for that bike? Thoughts?

Looks like BL (positive) BU signal input, other is ground.

You could try wrapping the signal wire around the spark plug about 6-10 times; then tape.
This makes a basic coil which should hopefully trigger enough input voltage for the rev counter.
Else give me a bell next week and I'll flick you up another solution (requiring a little work with a soldering iron)...

Its a P2 not a P2 Race ignitech.

Might have an old NF4 tacho somewhere.

I got a RS125 rev counter working on the 50 with the wiring that you suggested Kel, thanks mate!
Now to make up a new foam board and mount for it.

Next newbie wiring question:

I need a power feed for the rev counter (red from the ignitech) and one for the temp gauge.
Currently the power feed runs from the ignitech up to the on/off switch on the clamps then back down to the ignitech.
What's the best way tie into this feed? Are these standard 1 into 3 connectors I could just get from Jaycar?

Thanks
Chris

If you have one, I'd love to get it for either a spare for the 125GP bike or the bucket RS125

The tacho won'tcause much drain. Did i Igive you the wiring outputs in some sort of diagram? Its been a while and I'vehad a decent smack on the bonce since then.
