Hey people.
Replacing my switch block with an improved one. The indicator wiring on my current block has 6 wires, 2 power wires and 2 wires each for the left and right turn signal lights.
The after market switch block only has 3 wires for the indicators, one live, and one each for left and right.
So i decided to join the 2 lives together, and 2 left together, and 2 right together (thinking there were separate wires for front and rear).
Of course this doesn't work! The lights no longer flash, and just stay on dim when switched on.
Any ideas for a work around for this, or is this switch block incompatible with my bikes indicator system?

Cheers
B

Sounds like you may have bypassed the flasher relay?

I don't even know if i have a flasher relay, the service manual does not mention one.
Here is pic of the switch from thr manual.

Actually i think the flasher is built into the regulator rectifier as that is where the orange and blue cables come from.
Do they alternate on and off, or do both cables pulse i wonder?

That's all they give you!

If i just connect a single orange or single blue from the rectifier i get a very slow flash, but joining them together makes the indicator stay on, almost like they flash out of sync. But with my new switch i have no way of separating the two!

didn't see any 'please' out of you in your quest for an answer; so nice of you to judge people's language....
