just checking over the old girl before the trip and the intake were sitting at 0.13mm and the exhaust sitting at 0.21mm which are within spec, but only just on the exhaust 0.20-0.30 is exhaust spec
cause for worry? 3000ishKM trip coming up -- if I had a box of shims would have just done it but I have feck all tools and parts on hand at the moment :\

I have worked shims down on wet & dry with crc, you can get very accurate clearances that way.
If you do that, do it on the numbered side so it polishes the size off, because by the time you have finished with it, the thickness number will mean nothing anyway.

How many k's/hours has it done? Most of the shims I've checked on motorbike engines have been pretty much right on spec, even at reasonably high mileages.
Anyway, they have limits for a reason, inside the line is inside the line.

You should be sweet. Note your measurements now and check them again, when you get back.
