We are located just off SH2, in Kaitoke, Upper Hutt, Wellington.
From Upper Hutt go North on State Highway 2, through Te Marua (Golf Club and Speedway) up Kaitoke Hill.
You will pass over Kaitoke Hill which crests with a double lane and then descends into a dip. On the right at this point is a road exit with a direction sign for the Pakuratahi Forest. On racedays, we will have a trailer out helping you spot the exit.
Take this exit and turn left to find the kart club about 700 metres down the road.

Enduro rules:
Teams can consist of either:
A-Grade rider and B-grade Rider.
2x B-Grade riders.
Solo rider (Ironman).
A pit stop is compulsory for all teams, teams with 2 riders must change over during the pit stop.
During this change one of the riders must run from the pit pane to the front gate, touching the gate before returning. During the run the bike must be stationary in pit lane.
Solo riders need to complete TWO runs to the gate.
The definition of an A-grade rider is at the sole descretion of event officials.
If in doubt about this please ask. The idea for this rule is to foster newer riders, taking the piss here is poor sportsmanship.
We will run a le-mans style start.
This will be covered with a briefing on the day.
All other normal rules still apply.

Hey,
What are chances of race being 1 hour, same as last year?
I'm guessing it would depend on if the kart schedule runs on time, no harm in asking. I sure you could get a few extra laps in before anyone noticed tho ;)

Hey,

We've always been scheduled for 45mins, there is a chance it could go longer if everything is running very smooth on the day but absolutely no promises there.

I don't think we'd get away with that one!
It's a run to the gate annd back twice.
Doesn't sound hard but it really is quite a task after a few laps, uphill in leathers.

.
Why is this? It sounds more like a penalty.

Why is this? It sounds more like a penalty.
It IS a penalty, and I don't understand why it is necessary.
For a 2-man team, the second rider is ready to go the instant the first rider gets back from his or her run to the gate.
Why does the solo rider have to give away another 2 laps by running again? I just don't get it.

Wild guess here.
Most of the guys planning on riding solo will be A graders that would be faster running on their own than if they teamed up with a B grader?
At least everyone who has ever asked to do the two hour iron man has always been one of the fast bastards.

Yep, it IS a penalty and is IS to give a mixed team a better chance againt a hot-shot A grader.
It is to encourage teams of A and B riders.
The idea here is to mix it up a little and give some new riders a good intro event where a more experienced rider can help them along.

Nah, we must get some of the old funny trophies going again though, The 'Worst engineered bucket' one has shown up again ready for re-issue when the time is right.
I Might bring that to the GP actually...

A few important things for the Enduro on Sunday.
Please be there by 12 Mid day so we can get people signed in and entered for the scoring.
It would be even better if some of you could show even earlier as the Karts will likely need flaggies and so will we, we need to help each other out here.
It is without transponders so we need clear numbers, they should be on the front AND sides of the bikes.
If we can't read them we may miss the laps which is no fun for anyone.
Teams really should only have one A grader, the idea behind this is to get new people in and to get current B graders stepping up the pace.
If you are reading this, it is relevant and you haven't got an e-mail with the same info you should PM me your e-mail address so I can add you to the mailing list.

Top job done by Malc and Roggie - couldn't happened without you guys doing all the real hard work :niceone:
Great riding by the newcomers, not one stoppage for any incidents and I think everyone walked away with grins and only sore from fatigue :sweatdrop
Weather turned up too.
Well done Jas....I suppose...:not: bahaha
