View Full Version : Hope you're OK

Coming south on the Auckland Southern Motorway this morning, I saw a motorbike rider who'd just been forced into the central barrier on the northbound lanes near the Panama Rd overbridge.
Hope you're OK, a couple of cars had stopped for you and you were upright but the bike seemed to be nose into the concrete barrier.
Seemed as if some car driver must've thought they had a gap outside them and had swung into it without looking over their shoulder? Bet they said "SMIDSY!"

It wasn't a Harley, or a bike with topbox and hard case panniers was it?

Chances of the rider being an active member here are very slim, currently sitting at 1,608. Chances would be increased substantially if all 36,575 members were active.
But I applause your concern.

It wasn't me... just in case my wife is lurking.

Mind you I did have to urgently make use of the negative space between two trailers of the truck to the right when the truck to the left appeared to check his mobile.

They don't need to be on here to receive the good vibes :msn-wink:

Probably more chance of the rider involved in the accident posting a response, than the person who created the thread though.

Yeah, I know it'd be a long shot the rider being a KBer, but we all know other riders who aren't members. You never know.
And, like I always try to wave or nod to other bike riders, I also try to stop and help other riders if I see them in difficulty. But this guy was the other side of the central barrier and had a couple of car drivers around already. But, on the off chance that he's a member or a member knows him, I thought I'd post in case someone answered.
Aren't we all in this together? I just hoped the rider was OK. But I can't follow the sense of your post 5ive, whatever logic it may possess seems to have gone well over my head. Maybe you'll re-post and explain what you mean.

Quite frankly - no.

Quite frankly - no.
I don't think he was thinking of including you when he asked that.
