I'll start posting dates here as I get them finalised.

Taumarunui is booked for the 7th and 8th of January.

I have tried to get Tokoroa for the 3rd and 4th December but this will probably have to move due to a clash with drag racing on the airstrip, the council is concerned about the possibility of one of the cars getting it wrong and running us over on track.

Edgecumbe will be back in and I'm trying to get a fourth round in this year if the calendar and track access allows.

I'll post more details as I get them.

A ten second 1\4 mile is pretty fast. Surely with a slick bit of sequentially organisation they could be done in say eight minutes?

Maybe a Mt welly round to try and drag a few more auck landers to more of the other rounds?

We had both Kaitoke and Auckland in to start with but those rounds had bugger all people rock up that weren't local. I can understand that since Wellington Auckland or vice versa is a four day camel trip.

Tokoroa 17 18 December
Taumarunui 7 8 January

Tracks are booked and paperwork will be in shortly.

Costs for the weekend

Entry $40
Transponder hire $10
Day licence $40 (but please get a licence proper, will be cheaper for you on the long run and speeds up sign on by about an hour, meaning we all get more track time)

Classes will be A, B. (C if justified)
F5 if there is enough interest.

Usual free camping etc and you can turn up Friday night if you like. Although first person there may have to run off somewhere to get the keys.

I sent Te puke an email a week or so back but haven't heard anything. I'll give them a ring at some stage but I'm not hopeful.

What do you need to know. Most of the info you need is either on here or in the mnz rule book.
Best thing to do if you have questions is to rock up at a Saturday practice, that way you can get any questions answered at once instead of going back and forth on here.

Hi Henk with regards to the licence is a MMZ club licence good enough or dose it need to be a full licence?

righto folks. North Island Round three is locked in. 11 12 February at Te Puke. It's been a few years since we have been there as another branch of motorsport which shall remain nameless had everything but karts shut down due to noise. The Kart club are taking a risk with this and if any of the locals complain we won't ever be able to get back in there so even if you think you bike is quiet try and shut it up some more, do your annual muffler repack if nothing else. We can't afford to have a sense of humour on this one. Aside from that the usual North Island stuff applies, we can camp at the track Friday and Saturday nights, the club is going to open their cafeteria for deep fried stuff and possibly pies and sammies and they will open their bar for us. This is a cool track that doesn't show the elevation changes from google earth, the bit that looks like it was designed with a ruler is at the top of the valley and is way more flowing than it looks. Spread the word, this is a cool track and it may be our only chance to run there.

Got the last piece of the puzzle sorted today.

The North Island series for 2017 dates are as follows.

Tokoroa 17 18 December
Taumarunui 7 8 January
Te Puke 11 12 February
GP At Tokoroa 11 12 March
Edgecumbe 15 16 April (this is Easter weekend)

Same deal as ever, you can turn up Friday night and pitch a tent. Te Puke and Edgecumbe are going to open their bars for us and Te Puke will be doing deep fried stuff for lunches. There is a BBQ we can use at all tracks.
Taumarunui will be providing a river as they have in the past

Costs will be $40 entry, $40 day licence, $10 transponder hire.
We'll run A and B grades and C if it's justified. Practice on Saturday racing Sunday. Three races each class in the 10, 15, 20 lap sort of format with the number of laps dependent on the track.

Details on the GP will be out closer to the time.
