The Racer will compete against the new Triumph Thruxton. Nice alternative.

I would love to be able to get the R NINE T pure with 17" wire spoke wheels fro the retro look. A custom seat cowl and bar ends it would be nice.

Agree, the racer is right up there in my books.

BMW sell many GS models to the poser market (not judging), but that scrambler is a whole new level, and its butt ugly.

I liked the Thruxton so much I started selling all my old crap on TM and got up to 10K.... and thought " do I really want to spend 25+ K on a motorcycle...oddly my Wife agreed..."

This line in the R9T add.....

First up is the Racer. It’s a half-faired model, evocative of the old R90S, a downright sexy machine to riders of many ages

So respoked the wheels, new tyres, rebound, compression mods to forks and new shocks ordered ( replace the Ikons), $80 a year to rego and I can do most work required on myself.:woohoo:

Its now easily as good as the older Triumph Thruxton I had a few years back.

A lovely example. (what no exhaust wrap or a brown leather seat .... )

Yep - that Thruxton (and R9T for that matter in NZ) are a bit of coin and smack in the value of a lot of tempting rides. I've only seen one on the road so far of each.

Exhaust Wrap...brown leather seat.... I'm not individual enough for that. Do like a hopped IPA and upcycled junk around the house,

I've seen one R9T and the only Thruxtons were ones at the dealers.

I'll have to wait for the flood of Jap imports in a few years

Riders hot.

Interesting it appears as a boxer engine (probably one hidden under covers)

You'd assume electric

And they can get stuffed - bike that rides for you .......

A looker for sure,no interest in the bike itself but the fairing has potential.
