Give 'er a decent shot of the ol' top shelf, she'd tickle up nicely,
& show those poxy faux-racer Enfield curry-dysenteric sounding shitters - a real bit of the ol' - 'what ho darkie'.. ( L.O.L.)

If you have any sense of humour, put it up on that stiff-as forum, & see if you get a chuckle from 'em..

I rode a 500 around Rajasthan this time last year two up, great fun if live in a place where the average speed is about 50/80 kmph.
Saying that it was an earlier model with RH shift and no leccy start.

You need a support crew...

Roads around this place are busy.

Ride the bike, drink the beer. Beer is expensive in India.

think Auckland traffic is bad.... elephants and cows have right of way.

I remember Jawas but I don't recall ever seeing one tarted up like that. Usual finish was a maroon coloured paint with minimal chrome.

this is a throwback to the Jawa's of the 1970's.... The Californian is it's obvious ancestor.

I owned a few Jawa's in the UK, they are robust {drop it, bend the bars/pegs back with a bit of pipe, carry on riding}. Although 'low powered' consider that they had a single adult sidecar AND a barn door fairing fitted often, and would still pull 55mph+ No Jap 250/350 2T could manage that.

and how about a 'factory custom'?? http://tinyurl.com/zp2l4ky :shit:

For sure, that fru-ju `70s look Californian was the style inspiration.
But as for "No Jap 250/350 2T could manage that."
I'd reckon Flettner could put together an F9 350 Kawasaki that could 'big horn' such a role, sweet-as...
( & a suitably geared Yamaha RZ 350 could too, viz: Banshee quad).

clutches etc would'nt be up to the job I think, and the motors are too 'peaky'... the Jawa produces torque from low down, it's a long stroke motor with lots of internal inertia.

Here are a couple of RZ 350 dyno charts: http://rd350lc.net/Magazine/MCI0986-5.jpg
The torque output is fairly decent, right across the rev-range G-W, & they do have robust clutches.
Not to bag the Jawa, but an RZ mill could very likely move - as much weight as the Jawa could.

I'd be an interesting experiment for sure......

I recall trying a mate's Russian 'Jupiter' (2T 350 twin, Eastern bloc bike, like the Jawa) outfit, & ai, it was a horrorshow,
( but def' not in the Russian meaning of the word..)
A kart powered by an RZ mill - might be a bit of fun though..

BSA is to be reborn with money from Mahindra, but made in uk. Tata having made such a great job with jaguar rover it sounds promising, if sad poms couldn't do it them selves.
But Jawa was and still is frap. And yes I did now one. Sad.

if its a 350 twin? replave the jikov carby and fit a 'newtronics' lunimition system.... it improves it noticeably.
