Is it just me, or does that front fairing look like it was cut and pasted during the design phase?
I'm sure it's effective (>= median politican), but to me it looks out of place.

Yep. Even an older SV650s looks more fitting than that:

Might have something to do with the high bars being fitted to a sports-style fairing. Just look at that gap! :weird:

I don't get the half/bikini fairing thing, you either have a fairing or you don't. What ever is the actual point of one? They fuck up the aesthetics of a bike so it cannot be that.

Physically I will never be in the demographic for either... but as an aesthetic I like the naked one.

That fairing looks ugly as shit. I wonder if we will actually get them in here.

I'm sure Blue Wing will think they will sell well so load up the RRP .... then wonder why they do not...
Does anyone want a 250 with the range of LAMS bikes available now? Why not punch it out to 333 or something?

I agree, that would be the better bike but I assume they are still targetting the home Japanese market where there still exists reasons to limit to 250.

Cheaper than a full fairing? Or just maybe for um, protection from the wind? Or part of the 1980s retro thing they're going for I suspect; I had one of these back in the day (used japanese import). Such a great little bike the looks grow on you after a while

Cheaper than a full fairing?
Even cheaper without one altogether then?
Protection from the wind
A small unsuspecting screen does that.
It's like wearing a head visor only instead of a hat.

Or just maybe for um, protection from the wind?
A lot of people who haven't ridden unfaired bikes are surprised at how little wind is an issue. You get buffeted everywhere but you don't have a shelf of air that has been pushed up by the windshield, you don't have that lip that interacts with your head/helmet if you aren't the right height or in the right position.

Ah memories of being pummelled on the Hauraki plains on my NZ 250 with the throttle turned all the way to the stop...I like fairings. Others don't, I get that. But Honda can charge more for a bike with half a fairing than they can for one without. And some of us like fairings, having ridden bikes without them, or with tiny inconsequential windscreens.

I'll be putting a Givi on the GSX1400, that all it really needs, I had one the CB and it was so effective, just deflects the wind off the helmet/shoulder area.

Fairings are for gay faggs, financed by Jews and not worth $5 and a packed of chips...
Shit I'm channeling another KBer .... must get more sleep.

Looks exactly the same as the old one, with shittier brakes.

Great bike. Pity Blue Wang will have them retailing for the same money as a Triumph Street Triple 660.
