Excited to be part of this community. Learnt to ride 2 months ago and now I have my learners. Avoiding all traffic and riding on the back roads learning the bike for now. Yesterday I rode in real traffic, literally an eye opener :msn-wink::msn-wink:. Will be keen to get together with like minded bikers in Hamilton for a ride around and sharing tips while we get to know the rails. Most amazing feeling when you have another biker wave, when you both ride past each other. The understanding is mutual.

Looking forward to many years of riding. Safe riding to all my peeps in the community...:niceone::niceone:

I suggest you spend some time talking to real people you meet on your travels on whatever road you feel like riding on, and who actually ride real bikes rather than just keyboards. That's your community. And you will be much more likely get a proper welcome.

Good luck mate, Ill wave if I see you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of biking...

and don't be put off by those who are envious of you because you have a bike and you're out enjoying it :niceone:

Have a search for the RideForEver programme in your area - get along and do some training, it's well worth it.

If you haven't already then i would suggest joining the Hamilton m/C club, they have a monthly meeting and regular club rides, good for making contacts and getting some hints & tips.

welcome to the joy of having two wheels - nothing quite like it imo
I'm not local to you but I wish you all the very best in finding some like minded local riders & have a heap of fun (that's why we do it right?)
try not to feed the trolls on here or take what they say with anything even resembling a grain of salt - there are heaps of cool genuine riders on this site also.
If we are heading down your way anytime soon on our bikes ill send you a PM
cheers

Point of order: You do not drive a bike you ride it.
