TZR250 2MA Parts

Hi,

I'm after a couple of bits for my 1987 TZR250.
I'm looking for the little joinery bit that goes between the two power valves, and a right hand crankcase cover.
It's getting hard to find bits for these old bloody things...:brick:

Hi, yes I feel your pain bloody hard trying to track down rocking horse shit, all part of the fun playing with old stuff I guess but well worth it in the end.
You could try Simon at good parts or Pete sales at total motorcycles 06 329 6868 they helped me with a few bits when I was restoreing my 1KT.

Just had look through my spares but no luck, I would try local Yamaha dealer for the coupling most parts still available and price might not be to scary, my 2MA parts book say part # 47X-1131H-00 and 47X-1131J-00 but double check if you go to dealer.

I managed to find the power valve joiner on Ebay ex-Malaysia, still on the hunt for the crank cover though.

Does anyone know the name of the guy who races the TZR at VMCC winter series. He's there a lot, so he obviously has lots of motors.

Geez i knew a guy years ago in auckland who had a few and bought my old one.

He worked out east tamaki doing air ducting units for buildings with a guy on here whose handle was something like old fella.... cant remember the names though been too many years and barrell rolls in a car to recall that...

Hopefully trigger somebodies memory though.

If i'm in the area i'll pop by his dads old place and see if they are still there.

Hens teeth finding parts 10 years ago so yeah you may be pushing shit up hill a bit sadly, amazing bikes was my first 250, damn near ripped my head off.

Made my own, I've go a vinyl cutter so traced what was left of originals, scanned and cleaned up traceings in the Cutting software and cut using high quality vinyl I matched to original colors.

Keep searching and you will find the parts you need just a matter of being patient so don't give up, but if you do I could make room in my shed;)

A pair 2MA or 1KT forks would be nice or even some 2KR FZR250 ones
plus a disk and handlebars and yokes.
