Yeah, failed the same test in 2007 as well...
Didn't affect it's sales tho.
Different story now tho as it is not the top contender any more. Arguably the nicest to drive, but that is subjective anyhow... the gearbox was nice to use but the ratios are still all fucked up whereas the ford ratios are spot on but it is stiff and clunky in comparison...
It is scary how much electronic schmootz they all have now, some of it is just plain fuckin annoying!

I was haggling for a hilux but bought a ford based on two things, the running gear was tried and tested and the ford salesman wasn't full of shit. He wangled me an awesome price. I loved the imanual in the toyota tho...
