That's different. Clever, but I couldn't see that catching on, except for in very crowded Tokyo steets maybe. Car tyres should only be rotated in one direction once you use them, I believe, so tyre wear could be a problem.

Thats really only reserved for directional tyres I think.

What about the steering? It'd have to be four-wheel otherwise you've got a car going one way and a dumper-truck the other....that's gotta be well beyond the limited capabilities of most (insert most hated) drivers.

Yargh. I well recall the "Dumpy" with it's rear-wheel steering. We used to do speed trials to see who could navigate it around the car park the fastest. Best cause of it slowing down - flinging the driver off when the arse end tried to pass the front.
