I visited the Yamaha Museum (parking the R3 I was touring on right out front was very liberating) in Hamamatsu about a month ago.
Looks like its a 2 hr trip on the Shinkanzen from Osaka.

You could try sending a PM to this dude, he may not be in Osaka but he has lived in Japan for years: Brian d marge
OK, that didn't show as a link, check the US Presidential thread in Ravings he has been posting there and you can link from any of his posts.

Thanks for the ideas, I do t think I can make it to the Yamaha museum this year but might try next time,
Witch Kawasaki did you restore? I have photos of it maby?
I went to the Kawasaki 120 year anniversary the other week,
I got some classic Japanese bike mags and the prices of the old Honda Cb's are diabolical, I am going to try and get my cb450 back when I get back to nz, I know who has it

CB400 - The bike of Japan. Simple, efficient inline 4
I'm sure you've noticed the Japanese lovvveee their Harleys.
Rocked up to the ferry in Wakayama; 3 of us westerners on an R3, MT-09 and a CB400, Japanese dude on his 1400cc Harley..(maybe because like the Japanese, Harley is all about 'tradition)

A ZX750 turbo, otherwise known as the GPZ750 turbo.
I do have a picture with the new owner sitting on it. (a certain racing personality) The picture is in storage in another city though so cannot share it currently.
