They must have very sensitive natures to suggest that these are among the worst they've read. I guess they have public broadcasting standards to uphold though.
And you fullas and fullaresses don't know how lucky you are
Anyone want to take some of our extremely colourful posts from the vast collection and translate them to stuff friendly?

Way way back in 07' I got a pm from then senior mod Joni who said saying something along the lines of ''I didn't know how hurtful some of my comments are''.
Her humour lacked substance at times.
I said something on a thread that made a person cry (that from her husband)
In 08' McJim's missus got her tits tweaked over something I said, I think I was offering advice on getting some riding tuition.

yeah it's fucked I mean you can censor swear words themselves I guess although in the written / read sense it's pointless (ie faggot vs f*****)
but to censor peoples actual opinions
get fucked we're not all polite in real life and who is to say i should be a polite p's and q's motherfucker on the internet?
I guess I just choose not to comment... so does that make my opinion invalid or just unheard?

what right does any one have to be offended by anything i say, if someone gets offended it is their own choice to be offended.
if i have an opinion then it is mine and anyone else may have their own opinion as long as it is the same as mine :nono:

That actually gets into a very deep philosophical and intellectual argument about the limits of free speech, and whether and in what circumstances it should be limited.
The obvious example is hate speech. another example might be a medical professional asked to publicly comment on an issue of public interest but being prevented from doing so by wording in an employment agreement.
Broadly, my view is that mostly what I say in internet forums I would be happy enough to say to someones face.
I do swear a lot IRL as well.

Indeed, another one which is becoming more of an issue is disinformation. Things that are obviously false to one educated in the feild, but could be believed by one who isn't, and harmful to them or society; homeopathy for instance...

im offended by people who get offended.
so if they're all huggy-wankers, and worried about (not) offending other people, they should do the right thing, and not be offended by any shit.
also fuck jews.

.
slight difference between a voluntary gagging order (as in your professional's situation) and a generally banned idea.
i dont quite know what the fuck hate spech is. i hate cunts that put vegies in pies.
lest we forget that also, telling someone how to grow cannabis is illegal, and instructing them in assisted dying/suicide, inciting a riot, probably a few other things too.

I think this is what the unthinking masses need.
A "ministry of truth" run by the fake stream media.

I've just been on stuffs live blog

That Patrick wanker thinks he and the Nazi mods has control over a debate.
What delusional Muppet.
His last comment is just fucking laughable.
Thanks all for your questions and contributions. We're going to wrap up this live chat now, but I want to leave you with a comment that a Stuff reader left on one of the stories in our project series. I feel this is a beautiful summation of what we're trying to achieve.
Stuff is fostering a broad definition of tolerance and acceptability of humanity as opposed to a narrow definition of what is an acceptable form of being a human. So in the comments section it is not okay to attack other people along lines of race and gender for instance. You need to come up with a civil argument that stands up. It is tolerance and civility that is being engineered. That is the point of all this. So if people want to be intolerant and lacking in civility, then by all means, find another social media comments website which tolerates the type of comment you would like to make."

at the end of the day free speech covers your right to say whatever you want but that doesn't mean a private company (or a person for that matter) has to host your opinions

C'mon man. Cheese for example is a great addition to a pie. I'm pretty sure that cheese is a vegetable. Yeah I've read it somewhere.
There you go HDC. I'll make it back to your signature line sooner or later.
