There are far too many fucktards who do this. In fact, so many that the "news" doesn't report every instance as it is on a daily basis.
An ambo mate was used as a human rottweiler. Any sort of suspicious place or aggro from the outset and the crew would push him in first to sort the fuckers out.
It worked very effectively.

Colour me cynical, but did we not get the same sort of news/press releases last time St John had a fundraising effort?

Gutless fucking wonders thats who beats on Ambo's both the ?maybe not males and the bitches, they both do it. I say shoot them and stop us all having to pay for the rest of their nautual unproductive waste of oxygen lives.
If there was a crime that should be punishable by instant death, it's this one. Our Ambo's do thier job for Love not money and to then get beaten on, it is Just not right.

Stocks in the town centre... leave them there for a bit of public humiliation... too bad if the weather doesn't co-operate...

Issue the Ambos with tasers or stun sticks. That would make the drunken thugs think twice.

I'd bet the violent and drunken behaviour the Ambulance officers face is also the reason they're there in the first place.

How did you work that out? I can think of one medic, formerly an SAS trooper, who might have welcomed the distraction but that would be rare.

Probably not. Given the trouble the police have sometimes with using them I'd hate to think what would happen to an ambulance operator (who the drunken thug knows has no powers to arrest etc) who tried to pull one out.

Should just walk away and leave the fuckers to sort their injuries out themselves.

pretty sure the inference would be to vest them with the authority to taze some bro.
but fuck this passive aggressive "taser" shit. give them firearms.

... and then the highest road toll ever...
...and then i see in the paper "31% of fatal crashes in northland weren't wearing seatbelts".... like the 69% of fatals that WERE... so, like, statistically, wearing a seatbelt is more dangerous than not, right? fuck sake. fucken stupid ass cuntfux.
protip: what's dangerous is DRIVING INTO SHIT.

You don't say...
Point isn't whether they use them or not, more that quite often they are not effective and when an ambo is faced with that scenario how do we think it will pan out then.

Nah. It's still only about half of what it used to be.
Nice use of the word "inference" in your previous post though.:niceone: I used to work with a lot of people with degrees and a significant number of them couldn't do that.

Just send out a "IceMan" clone in every ambo for protection

Dude, they're not funded for a second medic or driver, how you going to fund icemens?
Single staff ambos, got to be the most stupid, short sighted shit ever.

Nah. It's still only about half of what it used to be. that.
yeah, but since cars are actually over 9000 times safer now, roads are ^42 better..., 50% isn't really much to brag about.
i'd say the road toll has plateaued, at slightly less than the ratio of stupidity-to-vehicle-ownership.
degrees are for woofters.

you should pay more ACC bro. they'd surely spend it on front line ambo staff.

If we issue the ambo guys with firearms will that turn them into a self-generating business? If they can charge so much per patient then they can go out and make a fortune.
That is a better business model than relying on donations. Speaking of which - I coughed up $100 a couple of months ago. Send them a couple of spare dollars too...

I've been donating to the local ambo service for years but I strongly object to my donations going towards them cruising around town attending to abusive drunk fucktards on a Friday night
A complete waste of resources.
At the least, supply ambo's with tazers.
