Just an observation......

I wonder what the response would be if we made a pun thread out of the news that a motorcyclist had died.

What, you mean like a motorcyclist in the public eye, whom was well known for being a poseur and a drama queen, but in more recent years, famous for being arested whilst jerking off in a public toilet and then made a song about it that rekindled his failing career?

About the same, I recon :2thumbsup

The most obvious pun has not been posted, yet. I do agree with your sentiment. A terrible year for the music hall of fame. Tragic even, the song that has been missed is stuck in my head now. Bloody grim actually.

You should have given it to someone special........

all jokes aside.
He told Sony to stick it up their ass rather than his, not many artists were ever that gusty.

Das missus actually cracked a smile at that one... I said that "he was found choked to death. No signs of a struggle and no fingerprints have police looking for a man with no arms, and approximately 5ft and 10 inches.". I got scowled at and berated.

Yup, it's rough humour.

Damn shame. He could have entertained us for many more years.

We can only hope that 2017 balances out the bastard year of 2016.
Kuntyea West, Justine Bieber, all of the people involved with "America's got talent?" require a visit from The Grim Reaper.

He was only 53 - maybe 2017 will be the 'younger' ones popping off ...... 2016 were all in their 70's

Kuntyea West - I had the misfortune of watching a video of him live yesterday. Utter shit.

It's a little known fact that Kurt Cobain committed suicide one month after Justin Bieber was born. Whether there is any connection is still being quietly investigated.

There's actually some very talented people who come through America's Got Talent. Strangely, they seldom win.

Only if you're into such obsessive conspiracy stuff. I didn't think it would take long for someone to suggest Zionist conspiracy.

George Michael was indeed a talented artist. Unfairly tainted with the glam-pop image of his Wham! days, as a solo artist he soon took charge by telling Sony exactly where to stick their music, image and promotion.

He had a great voice, smooth and mellow, highlighted best in his reflective numbers like Praying for Time and Jesus to a Child. Apparently just as good live as in the studio (although I never had the pleasure).

Like so many artists he was a troubled soul. Was it the fame that made him that way or was he just a weirdo - who knows.
