Thought I should share my new toy in here.

I've been riding an older 1994 Ducati 900SS for the last couple of years and I finally decided it was time to get something a bit more modern and reliable.
I went out with the plan of buying a new KTM Duke 690R. Thinking it would be similar in power to the Ducati (80 for the Ducati, 74ish for the KTM).
But the KTM just felt really lacking compared to the Ducati. I really didn't want to go to something with less power than the Ducati.

I went and had a look at a few more dealers and found that Suzuki were having a $3k off sale on the new GSX-R.
I test rode a 600 but decided due to the torque I'm used to from riding around on a big V-Twin I'd go with the 750.

I've just finished the first 800kms on it so can now increase the rev limiter to 10,500. It's been a long 800kms with only being allowed to use the first 7,000 revs (Although, probably a good way to get used to the bike before getting too carried away with it)

I'm stoked with the bike and really glad I bought it!.

Anyway.... photos:

I've seen this deal around, and can't help but think these '17 750s (and the 600s) are the most ridiculously good value sports bikes on the market today. Doesn't hurt that Suzuki absolutely nailed the paint scheme.

They did. I admit i went in to buy the white one but once id seen the suzuki blue livery in real life it was a no brainer

I did the same.
I ended up sending a photo of both to my wife and getting her to choose.

The white is tits too though...I'd have a hard time choosing.

My mate just did exactly the same and bought the blue 750. He loves it. We both agree it's the best value sports bike around. Not sure around that air box intake sound though

Haha.
I love that intake sound.

Almost better than an noisy pipe eh!

With Euro 4 I think air-box sound is where it is at - they can manipulate that to a roar and pop on a quiet pipe.

I love the all black 600; pity the 750 doesn't come like that (the 16 did?); though the black/yellow is not too bad... not a fan of the blue / white ones personallly; but can appreciate they look pretty ace.

A true gixxer rider would have hit the top of the limiter at least a 100 times by now
