After the successful conclusion of Round two at Taumarunui (at least I had a good time and by the sounds of it so did everybody else) We move on to Round three at Te Puke on the 11th 12th Feb. Unfortunately this clashes with the AMCC club day at Hampton Downs but there are only so many available dates in the calendar.
We didn’t do any noise testing at Taumarunui but there were a couple of bikes that still seemed quite loud. I will be breaking out the sound meter at Te Puke and loud bikes that can’t be quietened down will have to be parked up as it was noise from another type of bike that lost us access. We have only been here twice before and if there are any complaints from neighbors at all regardless of the actual noise levels we won’t be back so if you haven’t been before this may be your only chance.
The track is at 154 Alley Rd, Te Puke and it’s a gem, it runs up a valley with almost constant elevation changes so that like Tokoroa the google earth shot doesn’t do it justice, from the bottom of the old circuit to the top of the extension is all uphill and then strangely enough down as you come back again. The new part of the circuit is the part that looks like it’s been designed with a ruler but is a lot more flowing than first impressions would suggest.
The club is going to open their kitchen for lunch Saturday and Sunday (I think) and is also going to open the bar on Saturday night.
Prices the same as at the other NI rounds
$40 entry
$10 Transponder hire
$40 Day license
$10 transponder clip if you need one
Hope to see you all there
