Seller accepts an offer and then increases the start price so as not to sell a product. A ploy used to avoid the success fee.

Yep. I have had trade me charge a success fee for a bike I sold through here before by withdrawing the auction rather than letting it finish.
Guess they win some lose some.
Trademe fees have got very high in the last few years. Im sure I paid 49 to list a bike and the same for NOT selling it on tradme buy pulling the auction.

Any not so expensive trailers for sale in lower South Island. Not a lot on trademe in this area. Maybe ongoing track day space on trailer for shared costs from Welly to Manfeild.

Yep. I ran a add on fb but im getting alot of 1200 offers.
I priced 700kg hub stub and spring with hitch for $198.00 with trade discount. Can do electrics for under 100 and steel for 140(already have axle steel).
Wheels likely 50 and preformed wheel arches are 55 for 9 inch wide. Looking at about $700 to build one I am just being lazy seeing if I pick one up for 400-500 first.
This is the last one I made cost 560 on the road from memory but I had the wheels already. Was in 2009

Bloody cheap! Yeah the 1200 mark seems to be about where they all sit. Just need to assess how valuable your time and effort is to make the thing (guessing it would take around 6 hours?) and factor that in.

I started the last one at 7.30 and had wof and rego at 4pm without the outside 2 rails and box added. Painted it the following day. I think it was more like 13-15 hrs but im not going to be as quick as someone who makes them for a living.

Bike arrived
Faults
No battery.
Fairing almost touching cat and the paint almost caught fire.
Exhaust butterfly valve not connected to drive unit and no cables to do so.
Rear brake reservoir bottle has been removed and install to front with kinked hose.
Fairing holes mostly drilled in wrong spots.
Speedo unit was in a box and the inner glass and lcd panel smashed.
Speedo mount area onto intake snouts broken.
Rearset parts almost falling off.
Bit unhappy with the quality of the purchase considering he had failed to mention these issues.
So far I have rebuilt the tacho removing speedo parts so its rev counter and warning lights only. Made mounts and installed it. Works fine.
Ordered cat converter removal unit which is smaller than the cat so will clear fairings ok.
Ordered exhaust drive motor removal unit (electronic) because they dont like the original not being connected.
Constructed a working set of rear sets out of spares I had at home.
Re-installed res bottle that belongs on rear back and ordered billet unit for front.
Ordered battery.
Secured wiring harness which was just hanging inside fairings.
Relocated throttle grip angle so it doesnt touch fairings.
To do when cat eliminator arrives. Remove butterfly valve and weld cap over the mounting area.

Bit of black smoke when reving in garage. Possible it may not have exhaust sensor. I did notice a plug unit that looks like a cheap resistor exhaust sensor bypass. Any thoughts. Im not sure these things work and likely a Chinese sales con.

One of my bikes just has a resistor and the other a plug in jobby. If they are not working the bike will throw a CEL light.

Yeah. I have half the bike apart now checking everything. Not keen on anything falling off.
Just cut the flapper valve out. The mid pipe that has the flapper is very hard and very light. Im trying to work out if its stainless or titanium section. Need the hole and slot welded shut now. The original muffler have been reworked and are also very light. Basically straight through baffles. Ground of all the shroud tabs so need find some high temp paint suitable for ally next.
I think the next Manfeild track day is 4 weeks away so hopefully it will be ready.

Tacho unit is less inner glass and speedo lcd.
Rear set constructed from best bits from 2 sets.
Cleaned up some of the burnt paint from belly pan to have a look. Checked out stock bike and it has open area around cat but this race fairing has a collection area for oil etc so I dont want to cut it if possible. Hopefully the cat removal pipe will have good clearance from fairing as other race bikes have not been cut.

Cut some excess heat shroud off the left hand side where there wont be a muffler anymore.
Cut finger on the sharp edge while trying to make it smooth and safe to touch.

I think it is smaller but since it was sold to me without one I cant confirm. It holds about twice what an average rear res would in volume.
I bought a $15 bleed kit from supercheap 5 years ago and it makes brake bleed easy. They still sell them.
http://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/Product/Toledo-One-Man-Brake-Bleeder-Kit-310261/SPO1352876 Looks like they are $9 now.

Oh I got it sorted, I have a pressure bleed system. Just had a bubble stuck in the Mcyl which moved when I finally moved when I aimed the Mcyl down.

Getting closer. Managed to get 2 stands for 50 total.
Just exhaust system to go which was paid for last month and has not even left the seller in USA. Dont ever buy fron atvgalaxy. They sell items they dont have and dont reply to emails. Cost me 6 emails and 2 phone calls to hear lies so far about supliers sending wrong parts and will be freighted today which was 10 days ago so far.

27 days after order pipe its finally in the mail.
Decided a good clean was in order. Chain stretched with hard spot and able to lift almost 10mm off the rear sprocket. Took front sprocket cover off and teeth have started the bend over so ordered chain and sprocket set. Went for 525. Considered 520 kit but its only track bike not race so went little bit more long life.
