If you intend going back. Pay it now, otherwise you could be be in for late payment charges when you arrive there, and they keep you on file indefinitely.

I had an American flatmate that got a $150 ticket for no seatbelt and she just boosted the country saying she won't be back. We never recieved anything in the mail for her so dunno what they would do if she ever came back.

Definitely if the ticket came from Italy I'd say not to pay it (not even us we pay them...) but Swiss people are tremendously serious... a part from when they cross the border!! (they go faster than us then). By the way: where do you put the annual ticket for Swiss motorways on a motorbike?

Seems excessive to leave a country just to avoid paying a parking fee . . .

I have $3500 US worth of speeding tickets, and thus 3 warrents out for my arrest, and I have been back since. Dont sweat it dude.

my czech mates and i all got tickets for no seat belt coming back from out on the field one day working for The man, and got done on the way home, anyway.

after they had left i got mail about them saying court dates and stuff and any problems ring this number, seeing as my mate had put me in charge of his ird etc and his address was listed as mine i rang up and said yadd yadda yadda, she asked if he was ever coming back and i told her no and she said "ok ill just wipe this then"

oh my lord at wiping tickets over the phone Oo ?????? nothing has happened since :O

I let a $16 parking ticket go once.1976
After the courts sent me yet another letter saying they would double it if not payed I decided to do the right thing.
It had got up over $150 by that stage.
Hope they don't do that kind of thing in Switzerland huh.

It is also a little known fact that if you exceed the speed limit but 45kph and are stopped by the police and then you try leave the country, customs may detain you until you pay.

Fuck knows how they find out but I have seen it happen too often to be coincidence.
