View Full Version : Can't uninstall regid fork from Marin Fairfax SC1!

Hi everybody. Tried uninstall my broken rigid fork from Marin Faifax SC1 but couldn't. Tried lots of methods but now-one helped. Attached steerer photos and may be you can give some ideas how to do that. Need help!!!

Nopé I reckon he did Uderstood the question and he's right the frame is there alright. Butt the engine has gorn! OP this a motorcycle forum, and while a few here might also admit to riding this sort of contraqption on our roads free of charge, most of us do not like these bloody dangerous machines.

Lift the frame, hit the fork with a rubber mallet and the fork will fall out.

see the little collet in there? thats what is holding it together. What you have there is a standard 1 and 1/8th inch "Threadless" headset.

LOL: nice try. the stem is off the bike. the star nut* is the thing that tensions up the bearings but the stem is what holds it together.

Yes, but put a piece o wood on the top before you hit it - so it doesn't distort the metal - or you will have even more issues ..

Rubber mallet will be fine.
