I got the call I was dreading but halfway expected today. Unfortunately the council got some complaints about us using the track at Te Puke. Nothing to do with noise, just the fact that they have a consent for kart racing only, apparently somebody objected to an application to have bicycle racing on the track once a month. Shame but that's the way it is. Next year we'll have to come up with a different plan or drop back to a three round series. If you have any suggestions corner me at a track somewhere for a chat. Some sort of NI organisational group that isn't based mainly in Auckland might be an idea we can discuss at either Toke or Edgecumbe if we remember after the bikes get put away and before the beers come out.

It's a shame, probably the most enjoyable kart track I've been on as far as riding goes, racing is a bit of a shit since there is almost no way to pass without being a completely rude bastard.

Poos that not good news. I thought that looked like a nice track and would have liked to have ridden it.

and motorbike racers are a bunch of rapists. I know it's true because that is the attitude I got from residents near the proposed (mid 90's) new track in the Winstone quarry.

That's the same reason we can't use Carrs road in Christchurch, that and people are cunts
