Muc off, spray then wait ten minutes and hose off. Available at most reputable bike shops, especially the ones that sell a lot of off road bikes.

My approach to difficult to reach places is a little old fashioned. Spray bottle, soapy water and let stand for a spell. Soap can be Palmolive dishwash liquid, or a neutral detergent such as CT18 (Repco) or Grapewash (Pacer). Spray on with the spray bottle, rinse off with garden hose. Depending on how grubby, it becomes a case of rinse and repeat. Last resort would be degreaser...

Have cleaned a lot off it today and a good number of the fins are bent back. I will take the Radiator out when I fit the new headers and straighten them with a fine screwdriver.

Theres a tool called a radiator comb.
Does a good job straightening the fins.
Chat to a local radiator repaier.

No radiator guard then? I'd say you've been lucky.

Thanks for that, never knew such a thing existed. Not expensive either.

I usually use CRC 5.56 liberally and let stand for a couple hours. Repeat and then gentle garden hose low pressure. (well, maybe just a little bit of squirt)
