Does a GS 1000 motor (pre '82) fit into a GS550 frame?

It may 'fit', but? Knowing frames of that era, and the 1000's+ were all 'over engined' to the frame's capabilities. I'd seriously doubt the 550 frame would be a good recipient for more than doubling the available HP and Torque.

No - the thou is longer and taller. If you have a spare GS1000 engine please let me know.

Harris Magnum frame? or Spondon?
Possibly - but never a 550 frame.
I'm getting too old to wait for some idiot to try and fail with an engine that has value here and now. Give it to someone who has a use for it.
