Today was the big day, the bike was ready for it's wof and I would be able to ride to university :woohoo: . So I flick the starter switch and it fires up first time, a good start. I finish gearing up and head down my road, left onto Moore St, a little cold so I'm taking it easy. Aproach the end of Moore then right onto Eban, giving it a bit more gas up the hill and then Vrrrrrrrrrrrr.............
IT DIES!
No electrics, fuse me thinks. Piece of shit is sitting at a local park in a gravel patch next to a dairy until after uni so I can get some friends to help me push it back up my road.
I can't catch a break... :thud:
I'll get Indy to help push it back to mine so I can start by REPLACING the fuses first this time. :D

Does anyone have a van they can to lend me for today?
I want to steal Magua's bike from beside the dairy and sell it to a wreckers for parts.

Just push it off it's stand, it'll hit the deck and break into a million different pieces, way easier to transport than getting a van :niceone:

The bunny is surely half-way to world domination. It has done nothing wrong for me. Maybe more people should put him into their signatures. Maybe they are jealous Magua. It's ok. I'm here for you in you time of need...

That 750 is awesome in yellow, you think someone 6 foot could get an exemption? :D I'm thinking of something more tame as my next bike, something a little newer.

Not sure about the exemption mate. But that is as new as you can get... Maybe not so tame though.

Uh - what , no, I'm not drunk. Quite sober. I just don't see sprotsbikes at all, cos they're too small. Sitting way up there , they don't show on my target seeking radar.
Gravel patch , eh. I like driving on gravel. And I know where those roads are . Remember when the put Eban Ave in. Messed up a good off road bit of ground they did. Moore street used to be a short dead end road, all bush then where the traffic calming shit is now.
But I don't like hitting sports bikes, that's Mr Motu's speciality. I always worry about the bits of fairing getting caught in my suspension - worse than gorse they are. Bits of rider, too, just too much of a hassle having to wash the dried blood off.

Well its pretty clear what is wrong with the bike. One of the wires has been nicked and when it touches the frame or something around it the circuit is shorted out and then the fuse blows. You need to go through all the wiring in your bike and find the nick. It shouldn't take too long. If you think there is one then just tape it up and keep going. Otherwise just carry around about 50 fuses in your pocket and replace them every time it blows.

Interesting development, I went down to get the bike with Indy around 7pm and omg it works, lights and all. So Indy deciedes he will ride it back up the road. 50m up the street and Vrrrrrrrrrrr..... it all goes flat again.
So I'm guessing it's not a fuse, as fuses don't randomly fix themselves..........do they?

I replaced one of the fuses with a spare one today, charged the battery up and place it in the bike, da comrades it springs into life. So I turn it off, go grab a helmet, wheel it around out of my garage and turn the key. No power, it's died again. :calm:

I figured the connection to the main fuse was shite, so I cut off the current connection and re crimped it. Seemed to work, but fucked out as I went to put it back into it's insulator and away. Played with the wire and one of them seems to be fux0red. I'm going to cut it off further down the line and crimp and replace it with a new wire.

Yamaha wiring is crap in my experience
It had a lot of turns in it just before the fuse and when I tried to move it it would loose contact and the lights would go out. I've got some crimps for car audio, but I'm going to need to make a trip to Jaycar tommorow as I've only got wires that came with my speakers, they seem a little small in comparison.
