Which are the best biker pubs in the north island. I like the Okoriare near Tirau. Could anyone recommend more like this one.

Rangitaiki Tavern on the Napier Taupo Rd, the Tarawera Pub on the same rd (has hot springs nearby), the Ohingaiti Tavern on Sh1 near Taihape, the Waikino Tavern in the Karangahake Gorge, the Coroglen Pub, Tapu Pub and (sitting on the window sills in the) Whitianga Pub on the Coro loop. Unfortunately the Tairua Pub is no more :(

My wife and I stopped at the Coroglen during the mid seventys.
Half a dozen hillbilly hippys reckoned they didn't want OUR KIND in THEIR PUB.
Turned into quite a nasty little to do for a while,but they turned out to be pussies.

All heil the 'Kino lol yep and the Palms at Whanga...the Grand in TeAroha, that is a must....tell them you know Rick and/or Fish and youll have a couple of bikers down there with ya within minutes...

The boots used to be good, but Murray has lost it.Had the poker run two weeks ago. Bought the neighbors land. Seems he's expanding.
Noticed at times that some of the clientel seem to have their heads stuck up there arses on don't want to chat to a grey heared gent riding a 70s japper. Wont say what marque they prefer to ride but. Murry seems to chat to everyone and anyone from what I've seen.

Hi Bonze, I grew up in WDV (Long time ago) still got reallies there never heard of the boots and braces. Didn't notice it last year when we visited the old town. Cheers John.

Yes I did see that place, just down past the old BNZ. I thought it was a Harley Clubrooms, there were heaps of them parked there. Thanks, Cheers John.

About 3 years ago about 50 of us Ulybods showed up at the Rangitaiki Tavern, it was a cold and wet day, they locked the doors and wouldn't let us in, they must have been watching old 50's biker movies and freaked when we turned up!
