Hey guys!
Im turning 21 soon but due to university exams being at the same time im unable to have a party till at least november. To get round this i've decided to veto my study break and go for a ride! Weather permitting, we'll leave from the bottom of haywards hill at 9.30 monday morning of the 24th of october (should be fewer cops during the week) and go over blue mountains, the rimmas, martinbourough and then through to mastertron and castlepoint. Anyone keen? :headbang:

Hey dude, sorry to "rain on your parade" but the 24th is the Monday of Labour weekend, so it is very likely that there will be MORE cops out to get those law breakers returning from their holiday's!

Hope you have a great day and ride anyway!

Yep - definitely. :niceone: Blue Mntns as well - that'll be a pretty full ride? Let's just hope the weather's not too bad for it. Love the Castle Point road though eh! Mmmmmm.

Good point from Str8 though. And now that you've posted where we're going there'll prob be hiding behind every second bush along the way! :dodge:

A verbalisation of an unimpressed, one-eyebrow-raised look of 'I don't think so mate'.

VW - birthday boy gets to go first. Then our friends in blue might give you a pressie too!

just a question.... the bottom of the "haywards".... which side?
the whitby side???
or by the traffic lights the other side?????

Hutt side mate just opposite the quarry (theres a gravel carpark which is where we usually meet just above the traffic lights).

There will be a few other slower guys on supermotos and 250's going, so the plan is for everyone to go at their own pace, with the faster guys waiting at intersections/turn offs until everyone else has caught up. Please dont go too crazy, as i've had to scrape a friend off the side of the truck last week which I didn't enjoy. Take care, have fun and see you tommorrow! :niceone:

Saw Velox heading towards Haywards around 9am-ish - it was PISSING down and we were in the car (going the other way on the motorway). Hope you guys had a safe ride if you did indeed go. It's STILL pissing down. So much for the weather forecast for "sun sun sun" today!!

Happy birthday Vaseline Warrior!!

Yeah awesome ride. Thanks for inviting me VW. First time I'd been on those roads and very fun.

I ruined the day for myself on the way home though. Low sided on the first right hander of the rimma's! :crybaby: That'll teach me it's my favourite corner and I tried to ride it too fast for the conditions. :dodge:

Silly hah.

Bike and I are alright. Leathers did there trick (thank you M3 moto apparel)and the bike was rideable.(thank god for naked bikes)

Got home soulked for a bit then went to cricket.

Thanks again to everyone who was on the ride I had a great time.

Catch ya.

Spada - stink mate! That's not fun at all. At least you don't have any fairings to worry about I guess. Is there much work that needs to be done to it or was it just a bit of a hide-behind-your-tinted-visor moment?

Yeah - that was def a case of four seasons in one day. Well, at least two frequently alternating seasons. Rain all along SH1, fine on the top of the hill and all the way to Castle Point, dry most of the way back then torrential rain the last few ks into Masterton. At least it was dry on the hill on the way back though! Great birthday dash eh - :niceone: Good timing too Jim.
I love that road!!!
