Looking at having a ride to the Ashley Gorge and then a BBQ there. This is actually being organised through my work and we are looking at charging $10 per person to provide the BBQ with Sausages, bread, marge and sauce and maybe softdrinks as well.
Everyone welcome :sunny:

What time is this going to start up? Suzi Q.
Sal has a gap between shifts, so we may well be in.
So we can get 2 more tractors there.
But we will not follow DD there, as we will only get lost. :nya:
And we can be at the wrong pub by our self's. (we do not need help)

Well I would lead the way so that doesn't happen as his sense of direction is pretty much non exisitent, but everyone behind me would get asphyxiated by the amount of smoke and shit that comes out the back of my bike

Hey, what does that make me then, all 73kg of me. Mind you the word 'tall' is not one you'd use to describe me. Ahhh, the benefits such as no sore wrist(s) or lower back after a decent ride.

8th October 2005, 13:46
Oh yeah, if I can get the time off I'll be there, missus will probably come to. However it is all dependent on time off, and if this ride with TonyB happens that'll be twice this year I've been riding with members of KB, I must be approaching my annual limit.

Hey is it all still on for tomorrow? Just making sure as I would hate to be the only one waiting at the Yaldhurst tavern.
Bren_chch
5th November 2005, 21:43
is the Yaldhurst tavern just past that garage on the way to west melton?
Jamiepo
5th November 2005, 22:00
Not 100% sure which one you mean, but there is a small 100 km piece of road just out of CHCH (down Yaldhurst RD) then drops back to 80 (or maybe 70) and thats where the tavern is I am pretty sure it has the sign on it anyway. Where are you leaving from I am in on Riccarton road in upper riccarton so if you are going past we can start the convoy early.
Bren_chch
5th November 2005, 22:08
ok i think it must be where i think, i'm coming from halswell, so cut over to yaldhurst road and then up to that roundabout with the garage on it and straight over that, then i think the tavern is up there a bit.
see u there around 11.15 :niceone:

That would be perfect for me, altho saturdays in dec are out for me...a few school days to be done then, but sundays would be beaut. Haven't been up that way on a bike for years, used to know the road really well in a car at least. Would go over every month to visit my folks in Moana.... be very nice to do it on the bike :niceone:

Well for the moment I will submit the 26th or 27th, I am in no way incharge or organising this but it just sounds like a good date to me (so it won't be my fault if it rains!!). Still 3 weeks away so there is plenty of time to organise (not that it takes a lot to get ready :) ) Basically I wanna go ASAP but repairs and Magpie madness means I will kinda be out til then. Whats everyone elses opinion??
