Meh - just a safety check.

If vibration can cause the bolt to possible 'wobble loose' if you are half in tune with your bike you'd feel something off through the bar long before the bolt dropped out.

I would put money on inept wheelie landings being the culprit. Not mine of course. (Er, money, I can't wheelie for shit)

When compliance protocols cause recalls like this you can well ask whether the risks reduction is worth the costs involved.

Those costs, obviously are added to bike / car prices across the board.

I blame America.

There will be a 200kg rider who has done hundreds of wheelies on his MT and the bars became wobbly ..... now he wants to sue Yamaha for 50 million for putting his life at risk.

He should really sue the donuts factory, but it is his constitutional right to be a fat bastard.

Pretty minor recall - back out bolts, apply thread locker, re-torque.

And apply Yamaha colour approved dab of paint to confirm recall work complete.
