Australian woman dies in Bali scooter crash, days after posting video riding without a helmet
Sydney woman Ella Knights, 26, was riding in the popular beachside village of Canggu on Wednesday night when police believe she lost control of the scooter. She was found face down in the gutter and reportedly without a helmet early on Thursday and was rushed to a medical clinic at 3am.

Yup both my wife and I rocked the helmets in Raro, both of us experienced riders... Everyone I met along the way wasn't wearing one and I questioned a few as to their experience on a bike, all of them had not ridden before.
Pointless loss of life.

As the story said she was not travelling at speed it was possible lack of experience riding a scooter caused the crash. Lots of people do risky things when on holiday and a number die in NZ each year too taking on risky holiday activities.
Or maybe she was following in a group ride, under pressure trying to catch up, aye?

But you have to travel at speed to do that and there was no coment that speed was a contributing factor.
Sorry to break it to you dear

Bollocks. It's a graphic demonstration of what can happen if you crash while not wearing a helmet. Minor cuts and bruises described elsewhere in the report don't tend to result in death.

I take my Arai with me - I need the protection while trying to set a new lap record. IOR TT.
Seriously, they lose a few tourists a year to the scooter no helmet thing. Last time I was there, a lady cop pulled me over to tell me the helmet was a good idea. Then she tried asking my mate Rob (who is half Rarotongan) for his number. I wasn't upset about it, she was waaaaay too much woman for me*.
*In case you missed the point, she was a fucking heffalump and I like skinny angry women who like meaningful one night relationships.
