Hi guys,

This is my first post here, and unfortunately its not a happy one. My bike was stolen last night by some dirty thieving bastard(s).

Its a 1998 Suzuki Djebel - Reg 13UQM. If people in the wellington region could keep an eye out for it that would be greatly appreciated.

The brake light is currently not working on the bike either, which will help it to be recognised. Other features are its purple rims and rather large headlamp.

If anyone sees this bike please email jahmin[at]gmail.com.

Cheers

Good to see the nz bike community keeping an eye out for each other - cheers!Who ever took it may have decided they needed something a bit more econmical, with fuel going up and all. Neighbors see anything?

Nah neighbours didnt see anything...

I must say the police response was amazingly fast. I called the wellington central station and filed the report, and within 10-15 minutes there was a policeman at my door. I was quite impressed.

The bike was insured so if i dont get it back hopefully it will be covered. Would prefer just to get it back and save the hassle though.

Hmmmm. Sorry to hear that bud. My bike was stolen from Lower Hutt in April also on a friday (same thieves maybe?). Where was it stolen from? Notify all the motorcycle dealerships in Welly.

Keep us posted and good luck.

Sorry to hear about your bike, will keep my eyes pealed for it.
Does it have any markings on it

Cheers dude, it doesn't have a lot of markings - it does have a dent in the radiator though, which is quite noticeable if you are looking at the radiator, and the rear tyre needs replacing, it currently has a road tyre with not alot of tread on it.

Hi all,

Just a quick update. My bike has not been recovered, which sucks, but insurance did come through and i have since aquired a very nice 1990 CBR250RR which is a bit of a change to what i had...

Anyway, im glad that its all behind me now, and am looking forward to some great rides on the new wheels.

Cheers for all your responses.
