So, are there many out there? What are your impressions of your ride...... I've been out of the game for quite a while and somehow chose to re enter with one of these beasts.....I would be interested to hear rider impressions from other owners. Mine has dual seat and backrest/ twin leather bags..... but can be stripped of that stuff and made into a single seater..... it has a 260 tyre on the rear and takes some extra effort to get it to fall into a corner..... well, it never falls...you have to manhandle it....anything less than a super tight twisty section is easily doable though. So far I like it a lot......haha.. this from someone who registered the second 1986 GSXRSuzuki 1100 in Western Australia back in the mining days......... If any M109R riders happen to live in the South Auks/ Franklin area and want to meet up ( Probably top of the Bombays) to compare frozen pieces of anatomy.....I'm in.

Theres a bunch of us meet at the BP on the Southern Motorway on a Thursday night. SATNR we're called, we have a thread on here and we meet there after 6pm ride off for an hour or so's ride then end up ant a cosy little pub or cafe somewhere for a lie session. Feel free to rock along this week.
Usually we're outside the Autobahn.

I like mine. It scrapes the mufflers and pegs a bit too often and early for my liking though. Im not sure I would want it as my only ride though.

Hey Mr Pist'n' broke.

The SATNR is on tonight if you'd like to ride along.
There are 1 or 2 109's that come along from time to time and of course our pace is easy to moderate so no pressure to keep up or do anything silly.
We operate on a ride your own ride basis, so no one gets left behind, but you choose your own/safe speed and our Tail End Charlie will accommodate.
Southern Motorway BP. Just past the Papakura Off Ramp.
In front of the Autobahn Eatery.
Arrive from 6 pm on wards, ride off at 7 pm.
1-2 hours ride.
Hot drink or toddy at ride destination.
Off home your own way.

He was selling it at the time...

Man, do I feel like a dork... not long after posting that, I put my back out trying to stop my car from rolling down a slight incline into a fence......I was standing on wet moss and went over..... in front of the car....the evasive action required to avoid being run over by a 1960 Plymouth Belvedere sprained my back......I chuckle now but I shat myself at the time :) So I'm kinda out for a little while, but thanks for the invite.... I'll be checking it out when I'm cured.

No cure for that mate.

A Plymouth what? Sounds bloody dangerous to me. 2 too many wheels for starters.

Just rest assured it's big...and heavy.... I don't think I'd be sitting here typing if it had got me... :)

A container ship would probably be quite nimble in comparison.. :) but I like a challenge, and it has some very good points. The only thing it's predecessor did well was look pretty in the cave.......... 2013 Harley 48.
