Stolen bike, FXR150, Auckland downtown [Archive]

Hi,

I had my bike stolen yesterday night (fri 8 oct) from the carpark of four seasons plaza on emily pl.

It's a blue FXR rego 46UOS. It is missing the black plastic windsheild, the right mirror (but not mirror stalk thing) and has the side fairings removed.

If you see or hear anything I'd love to know : /

hmm thats a bugger, especially when those sorts of bikes are usually stolen for fairings or joy riding.

Might pay to keep an eye on uni, lots of FXRs there during the day. I'll try to keep my eyes open as well, your bike would stand out as well.

you dont ride that to auckland uni by any chance?

Not gonna be easy to pick out an FXR from the other 1000 or so in auckland!

Is it the telefonica one or just the plain blue one?

yeah i used to ride it to auckland uni but was walking since i moved closer a few months ago

and it's not telefonika (bright yellow squares?) ... it's the model with the red white and light blue stripes...

(picture taken pre bits coming off... oh yeah it's missing the handle bar weight things on the end, and a small dent on top right side of fuel tank)

Tell me is it yours? The thing that set me off is the mirror and its missing the side fairings. Also its wanting a cash sale and the bike looks like its slighly hidden

if you look at the photo on the auction, it has what i assume is a dent (albeit a large one) on the right hand side of the tank.

Could be your man. I'll ask to go see the bike and check the rego.. If its the bike, cops will be there soon after. (My question on the trade me site will be under kiwirider)

Good shit i would not be suprised at all if it was how many fxr's would look like that exactly as described in the post and asking for cash?

Hmmm.. check out the bid and question dates... he says it was stolen on the 8th but there are questions and bids prior to that date.
Dunno how he could have the bike up without having stolen it at the time :Oops:

The bike on TradeMe still has its black windscreen. Genetiks said his was gone I think.

Good on ya, Sniper. I would have done the same, right bike or not.
When your machine is stolen, you check out ANY possibility.

(I mean to say if I was selling a $2,000 bike I would have bought a new mirror for it....)

Heya!

Sorry I haven't been paying attention here. Nah it's not that bike, I got a call from the cops and my bike was involved in a crash, and is now being held at a towers. Haven't managed to get out there yet and they couldn't tell me the condition, so I'll tell ya when I find out.
