I think the 30% off storewide is false advertising as they have exclusions so its not really storewide.

Since you ask, it depends how you define "store wide". That may not mean everything in the store is 30% off, it could possibly mean that there were specials in all departments across the store. But hey, I'm not a retail expert or a lawyer, if you want to write feel free.

Did you buy anything? It's been a cold damp weekend in Christchurch I know - but who gives a shit if there are a handful of exclusions. Find something that is discounted and you want it buy it. Deal. Good value.

It's no different to just about every advertising in NZ - electronics retailers always have a astrix - usually excluding Apple products. Which is ironic as the bloody things are overpriced anyway .....

Technically you are correct. The entire store is not discounted without exception.

Technically they are correct. The 30% is applied over all categories of their store (thus store wide), within some there are clearly noted exceptions.


If you are going to crack out the quill and ink and slow post a letter then ensure you base it on the above.

Falco boots arrived today and returned :( these boots are narrow, no problem with getting a refund from the local Torpedo7 shop.
