Just done a test drive on BMW G310R and an Yamaha MT03 . Looking for an suggestion between these two and also does the maintenance cost.

no, maintenance is free on all bikes with a "3" (or multiple of) in the model designation.

bmws never break down and also come with a quaint european man's phone number.

No point asking us which bike suits you best. Buy the one that appeals most to you. Maintenance cost on the BMW is likely to be higher than the Yamaha, at a guess.

If it's a first bike, why not buy second hand? By the time you've got your full licence you'll be getting rid of whatever little bike you buy now anyway. Plus if you drop a nice new bike during your learning period it'll hurt your wallet more than you'll enjoy.
