Hi,

My son is looking to buy a house, possibly quite shortly, and is therefore in need of a lawyer to do the lawyering stuff.

Any recommendations for someone who is competent, not to expensive (he's on the first home tight budget), and will be around for a while as the lawyer thing tends to be ongoing for a few years/decades.

I would have recommended my previous lawyer, but he's retired and the others at his company inspire no confidence, so if they're halfway decent they'll probably get my business too.

Any help appreciated.

Used Hornby Law (Saunders & Co) two years ago for a sale of existing and purchase of replacement homes after recommendations from two associates. Very happy with their service. Sharp pricing as well. Quick and efficient.

I'm dealing with Cameron & Co. Guy there is a long term friend of mine. Can't compare with other lawyers since he's my first. Will let you know how they go.

I'm also in a similar situation buying a first small house on tight budget.
