Hi guys,

Looking for some advice on bike stands for a KTM Adventure 1190 R.

My partners birthday's coming up and I know he loves to service his bike, change the tyres at home etc and he doesn't have a bike stand to do this. Last time he just put the bike on a car jack and other bits and bobs...

Any advice? Or does KTM make their own stand specific for the bike?

Otherwise any ideas on a good bday pressie in terms of accessories for the bike?

Cheers

Bike Lift stands are good quality. http://www.motomail.co.nz/search.aspx?q=bike%20lift

Your local KTM dealer will be able to get stands and ensure they have the correct fittings.

You can get front and rear stands, some do both duties with a change of fittings. A front headstock lift stand is better IMO as you can remove the wheel and forks if desired.

Then there is the really cool ABBA stand. https://abbastandsnz.com/products/superbike-stand

I thought the permanently mounted center stand was standard, but I see that's only for the earlier 1190. It's apparently an optional accessory for the later models.

Unless it spends a lot of time in difficult off road country that'd be my solution, rather than a paddock stand, (for which you'd need spools as well).

You could try ebay etc, or just go talk to your local KTM shop.
