Hi everybody!

A few days ago I set this account up and now it's about time to start! :)

My name is Michael and on August 1st. I took over the social media-jobs at Wilbers Products in Germany - we're a suspension-manufacturer as some of you may know. Today many people see social media as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and so on, but I'd like to rely to message boards as well. In my eyes forums are the best way to talk to a certain group of people with a certain interest.

But don't be worried, that I'll be flooding the board with messages like "Hey, you're searching for a new helmet? Ever thought about a new suspension-kit?". I'm here to help within the community, if there are any questions about our products and to be part of the community.

I think we'll get along and I start this topic with kind regards :)

Hi, welcome to NZ.

I'm planning a bike tour around Europe next year (starting in Berlin).
Plan is to buy a bike on www.mobile.de, ride it around for a few weeks then either sell it or ship it home to NZ.
Preference is to do this rather than rent a shiny new bike from a dealer that I might scratch.

I traveled around Europe last year by train, couch surfing and had an amazing time.

Berlin, Wolfsburg (VW factory), Mannheim (John Deere factory), Munich (amazing techno clubs & BMW factory). Also stayed in Paris, Brussels (plastic museum not to be missed), Amsterdam (Sugar Factory !).

Now I'm planning a tour of motorbike and car factories and museums from Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland and back into Germany, all on a motorbike.

Went to the Audi factory while at school in Germany in 2003. Incredible technology.

I would love to head back and take a bike around the country.

You should be glad, you didn't choose this summer. It's the rainiest, coldest summer I can remember...

Would love to! It'd only take me two weeks to remember how to speak German (I understand most of the limited conversations I hear, but have to think fairly hard about saying anything... Was completely fluent by the time I left).
Should get my full Class 6 first, and renew my Deutsche Pass ;)

My written and read German is TERRIBLE... I learned predominantly as a teen, and the only books I could read were kids books, which were unattractive, but harder things like the newspaper were too difficult.

But go ahead if you wish, haha! Kann doch ein bissel Schwaebisch... :bleh:

The name Wilbers is likely only known to Europeans like me, or enthusiasts who have used fancy suspension on their Beemers over here. Do you have a local support agent?

In NZ there's only a select number of real suspension specialists, and the name Ohlins comes to mind immediately for some reason...:eek:

As far as I know yet, theres only a official dealer over in australia. And well ... Öhlins is a bit bigger than we are, but that's a reason why we're able to build suspension kits which are perfectly tailored for the customer, since we use his/hers weight, the weight of the pillion and the luggage and so on.
And thats a reason why I am able to take a look at the most important message boards to give support :D

Welcome,am a long suffering TL1000 owner and over the years have heard good things on TL websites re your guys stuff,bloke thats made some bits for mine from Sweden had a Wilbers rear setup on his race bike last time i spoke to him.
